The part that people have trouble sticking to is the exercise. In order to build muscle, one needs to exercise regularly, and somewhat strenuously. The best exercises for building muscle are weight lifting, as people who have ever seen a professional weight lifter can attest. Of course, that does not need to be your goal. For women who are afraid of becoming noticeably ‘buff’, rest assured that it’s rather hard to do.

In order to build muscle, each muscle group needs at least a day in between workouts to repair the damage you created and build new muscle fibers. Most people thus choose to do this workout three days a week or so. Less than once a week is not very effective, so try to do it two or three days a week.
